welcome to the committee

Imagine starting a new job and on your first day of work your thrown into the deep end with an issue with the land lord. It seems like its been a complex situation, there is a lot of information being presented, and you are not sure of the background information  or the company’s intention.  You have received no hand over but are expected to resolve the issue on your own.

Its hard to imagine right? A successful business simply would not do that. You would expect to walk in on your first day and be inducted and a hand over process to occur.

Unfortunately, so many sports and community clubs act as our example company. They do not take the time to induct new committee members. For some people they will adapt to their surroundings, but for many people one of two things will happen. They either remain silent on the committee, contributing little at all or they will leave.

A self-paced online learning manual, Welcome to the Committee has been designed
to create a individualised resource that is user friendly and used by your new and current committee members.

Conflict
how to get back on with the game

Let's face it, if everyone agreed at a board level our clubs simply would not advance. Differences of opinion can be healthy and a way for the club to continue to evolve into the future.

But what happens when our differences can not be agreed upon?

This self paced online learning manual, Conflict - How to get on with the game, has been designed to help committees recognise major sources of conflict, provide tools and resources to manage conflict and enable safe guards to help prevent conflict in the future
